Two Mixed Media Abstract Works by Christina Jarmolinski in AIG Salisbury
These are 2 Abstract Mixed Media I am showing at AIG-Gallery in Salisbury, MD. The Dream Catcher is a very delicate version of painted feathers, looking real and pulled into abstraction. Gloria signifies the "feminine" in our lives. Both are for sale in the Art and Institue Gallery, Salisbury, MD.

Fresh Herring in Holland
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soused_herring Rob de Koter and I traveled to Holland to meet with friends and family. We were treated with all Dutch Specialties we love. The Herrings are scrumptious and are the best ones in the world. The Dutch have their own unique recipe to brine the herrings. We had great fun eating them as you can see.

The 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Rehoboth Art League-Center in Delaware
-Christina Jarmolinski's Buddhist Monks This was another good, prestigious and comfortable venue to show my art in Delmarva, after relocating recently from the Gulf of Mexico, Florida. It was the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Rehoboth Art League-Center in Delaware. The evening was warm and lovely at the beach of Rehoboth meeting many artists and art collectors. We were greeted cordially by Constance Costigan, Member of the Board of Trustees of the League. I am showing "The young Buddhists Monks in Acrylic and Rob de Koter is exhibiting a photo "Reflections" out of his Nature Series of Exotic Birds.

My Anecdote of Andy Warhol's Campbell Soup by Chrisitna Jarmolinski
Andy Warhol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campbell%27s_Soup_Cans "Campbell's Soup Cans , [ 1 ] which is sometimes referred to as 32 Campbell's Soup Cans , [ 2 ] is a work of art produced in 1962 by Andy Warhol . It consists of thirty-two canvases, each measuring 20 inches (51 cm) in height × 16 inches (41 cm) in width and each consisting of a painting of a Campbell's Soup can—one of each of the canned soup varieties the company offered at the time. [ 1 ] The individual paintings were produced by a printmaking method—the semi-mechanized screen printing process, using a non- painterly style. Campbell's Soup Cans' reliance on themes from popular culture helped to usher in pop art as a major art movement in the USA." - Free Wikipedia-thanks again Wikipedia................

Syzygy Gallery in Fort Myers, Fl. 2011 photos by Rob de Koter
Friends and Art Collectors- It has almost been 2 years since Syzygy Gallery in the downtown Riverside District of Fort Myers has closed it's doors. We want to thank everybody who contributed making it a success for the city. We were visited by the world- tourists and Lee County, Naples, Sarasota and Miami art lovers came to our gallery. Our approach was very open and transparent. Besides offering contemporary art of local and international artists we offered workshops in art etc. to belly dancing classes. Unfortunately the economy was struck badly in South West Florida and the leases were exuberantly irrational, forcing us to close the doors to one of the main attractions on First Street. We wish all our customers and friends all the best. You are in our hearts. Thank you. Christina and Rob and Lakshmi http://www.examiner.com/topic/christina-jarmolinski Update: Since we closed our doors of the gallery, 4-5 other well established galleries closed due to the same conditions-very sad. A White Angel visits us last night!-Female Luna Moth -photo Rob de Koter
We were totally surprised as we opened our front door to find a huge looking insect or bird? flying against our glass storm door. It was as large as my hand! We did not know what it was- a bird? large insect?! no head really weird but beautiful. It was like a white angel with white transparent wings outlined in lime-green and pink-Amazing! It was trying desperately to come in. Our dog went crazy and would have liked to grab it! Good thing the glass door was protecting it./us. We immediately looked it up in Wikipedia-thanks Wikipedia! We found it was a male Luna Moth attempting to find a mate. They mate , thereafter dying. They live only 1 day!! Please read below............... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Actias_luna
