Zoisite and Ruby Cricket

I found this fantastic Cricket in an antique Shop. I was told that crickets or symbols of crickets were placed in the mouths of Emperors in Ancient Egypt and Asian rulers, so their spirits and intelligence would not escape after their death, but stay with them.  So the cricket has become a symbol for spirituality.This pendant is zoisite/ruby with green turquoise and jade. The cricket is 3"
