Cityscape is one of my more recent paintings. It is acrylic on canvas. 100x80 cm.
I painted this after a series of wild paintings featuring global warming. This is the result of calming my approach to this subject on canvas. The focus is on the architecture predominately found in cities of Germany. I painted the yellow background to add to the feeling of distance. It is constructed, not allowing me to flip out but stay concentrated on the buildings. Architecture finds it's way in many of my canvases.

Ich habe es nach einer Serie von wilden Werke gemalt, die globale Klimaerwärmung zum Thema hatten. Dies ist das Ergebnis einer beruhigenden Annäherung meinerseits an dieses Thema auf Leinwand. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Architektur, die man vor allem in deutschen Städten findet. Ich habe den gelben Hintergrund gemalt, um das Gefühl der Distanz zu verstärken. Es ist konstruiert und erlaubt mir, nicht auszuflippen, sondern konzentriert zu bleiben. Architektur findet sich in vielen meiner Werke wieder.
