Rob and I visited the National Art Gallery in DC yesterday. This museum is a branch of the Smithsonian.
The weather was great making the trip there very enjoyable. The architecture is amazing. I especially loved the tower terrace merging 2 Halls of art. One a Gigantic display of Calder's art, the second filled with Rothko paintings. The terrace was dedicated to sculptures and resting areas viewing the surrounding buildings of DC. It was a much needed spot to relax at halftime, since the museum has so much to offer.
